CANON POINT: End of movie, alternative ending (Alternative ending shows that Hanna went back to her cabin in the arctic circle to retrieve a few things, and leaves.)

INCENTIVE/FIT: Hanna is a girl who has been raised to be a hardened assassin, to feel no empathy, to feel no pity, to fight and kill and be a predator. Her 'father' educated her, but besides a book of fairy tales (something that was her mothers) she had no real idea of morality and kindness. The modern world easily flummoxes her. However, she quickly learns, and instead of being dejected or scared, she rushes towards the things she knows nothing about, eager to learn. Through her friend Sophie, she learns about compassion, and true family, and how to be affectionate.

So in Eudio, it will just be a continuation of her learning. She's sixteen, and clearly has some glimmerings of attraction. Even though she attacked the first man who tried to kiss her--it was more due to her not knowing him, rather than being averse to it. She is the one who instigates the kiss with Sophie, showing that she is willing to reach out for contact, if she feels comfortable and gets the chance.

As for why she would want to live there--she has nothing left for her in her own world, save a family that she made friends with. She would be asking for a family. A real one. For her mother and 'father' to be alive, and together with her, happy. A chance to have a sort of happy ending that happens in the stories she's read.

In regards to her being aged up: It wouldn't affect her much. She's still going to be naive about a great many things, just stronger due to greater muscle mass and being fully grown into her body. She also would readily accept the change. With the way she was raised, she wasn't ever much of a child in the traditional sense. While she knows she hadn't been prepared to know she was a 'freak', she had been raised to be more of an adult than a child. She'd still maintain that child-like wonder and lack of social graces.

She would know scientifically the changes to her brain chemistry, etc. She would be able to reason things more quickly, and be able to make informed decisions with more clarity and conviction, due to having a more developed mind.

As for informed consent, she knows that no one can force her to do anything against her will. Her fighting capabilities and her intelligence wouldn't allow that. And while naive about social graces, she knows the difference between right and wrong, and what feels bad, and what feels good. She comes into this place with an open mind, and an open heart; if being aged up is what it takes to help get what she wants, she would readily accept it, just like putting on a winter's coat helps keep her warm when she's hunting. It's a tool, an advantage. She had been taught to adapt or die. This is just a kinder, easier version of that.

She has always shown that she can stop anything she is uncomfortable with (like the kiss with the boy)--and she would realize that it was her saying 'no' without words. Now she simply will be able to do so with a clearer mind, and most likely without violence. Having an older body will allow her to explore herself and other people with renewed confidence.

It doesn't look like any fairy tale she had ever read. But perhaps like many things in her life, even the fairy-god-people who take the princess away, or give the knight his quest, are more different than she anticipated.

Still, the city was beautiful, filled with so many different sights, smells, people. She felt out of place, small, in some ways, but bold in others. No one knew her here--no one was chasing after her, no one was trying to harm those, or those she cared for.

It was like Alice in Wonderland. All the strange new magical things. She had seen a man flying in the air, and she let out a scream of delight at such a sight. It had worried the man, apparently, and he had landed, asking if she was fine.

'Of course' she had answered, and quickly started to ask him about his abilities. If he had been taken aback, she didn't notice. Instead, with a wide and bright smile on her face, she eagerly listened. He had to leave, but the information he had provided her had given her enough of a taste that she knew she would have to seek out more information.

Because yes, she was here to pay a debt, to gain her own fairy tale back home...but that did not mean she couldn't enjoy this world while she was here, and learn all she could. Perhaps she could write her own stories, one day.

Sophie would like that.


ANYTHING ELSE?

Hanna is a engineered human. She was altered within the womb to lower her capabilities for pity and empathy, and make her stronger, faster, smarter. She clearly has an incredible capability for learning (languages especially), and she's an amazing fighter. It's really unclear how far her abilities go, but I will keep it more towards "advanced human" rather than "super human".
